      The Sweet Problem? Alternatives for Sugar, by Zbigniew Krejpcio, Spring 2019 Madison College STEM Center Speaker Series

      Dr. Zbigniew Krejpcio (http://www.zbigniewkrejpcio.up-poznan.net/) is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa as part of the Fulbright Senior Award Program. His home institution is the Poznań University of Life Sciences in Poznań, Poland. Dr. Krejpcio's areas of research interest are human nutrition, food safety, and food toxicology. He has been involved in several national and international research projects, and has presented lectures in various counties. In this presentation, Dr. Krejpcio will discuss alternative sweeteners to sugar, including the pros and cons of these alternatives.  Madison College students, faculty, and employees, along with the general public, are all welcome to attend!
